Nits are actually the eggs of head lice and an infestation can cause an itchy head or neck, or a rash, which is often worse behind the ears or on the back of the neck. However, it is possible to have had head lice for several months before you notice any itchiness, and some people may not report itching at all.

What are the signs and symptoms?

It's important to check your or your child's hair if you have been in contact with someone with confirmed head lice, so that all cases can be treated.

Other signs of head lice infection are:

  • nits stuck to the hairs as they grow out
  • louse ( lice) droppings which appear like a fine black powder and are easily seen on pillows or sheets

If you spot nits or droppings then you will need to make a further investigation.

No harsh chemicals in our natural treatment however, AND IT WORKS.
